Following its critically-acclaimed South Australian premiere, No Strings is taking THE CONSTRUCT to Melbourne.  A powerful production exploring the complex landscape of mental illness with unflinching honesty and artistic precision.

THE CONSTRUCT follows one person’s journey through a mysterious room that could be sanctuary, asylum, or prison. Through fearless storytelling, the production examines the isolation created by mental illness—isolation built by individuals desperate to conceal their truth, by a society eager to maintain an illusion of safety, and by a mind grappling with a reality that seems just beyond reach.

This professional theatre work gives voice to those rarely heard, showcasing the artistic abilities of D/deaf and disabled performers while creating powerful performance that resonates with authentic lived experience. Echoing works like A Beautiful Mind and the writings of Kafka or Murakami, THE CONSTRUCT challenges perceptions and transforms how we understand mental illness.
