SONS & MOTHERS

2012 Adelaide Fringe

About

Sons & Mothers is a beautiful, honest and personal show about the intimate relationships between as you guessed it sons and mothers. Six performers from the No Strings Attached Theatre of Disability and the director, Alirio Zavarce share the stories of their relationships with their mothers. It explores whether or not disability makes the mother/son relationship more complex, and the joys, trials and love found in the relationships.

Beautifully crafted the performances are deeply personal, including photos and footage from childhood, we share in stories, memories, troubles, grief and joy. Each of the performers, Duncan, Kym, Ryan, Ricky, Damien, Ben and Alirio tell their unique stories in their own way using music, verse, art, stand up and dance.
