UNIQUE THEATRE PERFORMANCES WILL RECONNECT AUDIENCES ON THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY
No Strings Attached Theatre of Disability presents a new theatre production ‘AMPLIFY!’
39 professional disabled actors unite on the International Day of People with Disability to present three newly devised works that amplify their unique voices while demonstrating the artistic craft developed through intensive year-long training and experimentation.
Our 2022 productions are directed by distinguished local theatre practitioners Dr Corinna Di Niro, Cat Purling, and Mitre Khammash, who collaborate with our performers to transform raw creativity into polished theatrical works that showcase the depth and range of our artistic community.
‘No Strings comes together each year on the International Day of People with Disability to create space and provide access and opportunities for disabled performers to tell stories that are important to them. We value the disability lens, regardless of whether the stories are about disability or not. We challenge perceptions and barriers associated with disability while proudly delivering professional theatre.’
