Four original theatre duets about connection
2connect, four original theatre duets by the multi-talented No Strings Attached Theatre of Disability, will be a highlight of the 2006 Adelaide Fringe. The 12-performance season will be at the amazing “Higher Ground, Inc,” formerly Adelaide’s Imax Theatre — the perfect spacious venue for this vibrant and diverse theatre experience.

No Strings Attached Artistic Director PJ Rose said today that the production concept is unique for Fringe audiences in that these four 15-minute plays, set in four different realities – a housing estate, a dream, a lock-up, the outback – will move audiences on a journey of transformation from one imaginative stage to another.

“We’ve partnered four of South Australia’s most creative theatre practitioners with four company members to create four dynamic duets,” said Rose.
“Each pair explores unique images and languages of connection.  The results are a comedy, a cabaret, a drama and a dance work with film.”

The seed for 2connect grew from observing how difficult it is for some people (especially those with a disability) to make connections due to basic but essential issues like transport, access or just being different
Without the means for connection, it’s very easy to become lonely and isolated in today’s frenetic society.
